KANSAS CITY, Mo. – At the second PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series event of the season in Kansas City, Missouri, the Ariat Texas Rattlers went 1-2 in game play, slipping to No. 5 in the league standings.
As action got underway inside T-Mobile Center, the Rattlers first took on the Oklahoma Freedom in bull riding’s version of the Red River Showdown. While veteran Joao Ricardo Vieira delivered the high-marked ride of the game, it was not enough to carry Texas past Oklahoma, with the Rattlers defeated 156.5-88.5.
Keen to rebound, the Rattlers then faced the Arizona Ridge Riders on the second night of action for PBR Outlaw Days. This time, however, Vieira’s 88.5-point score was enough to cement the win as Texas knocked off Arizona 88.5-87.25.
With momentum at their backs, the Rattlers then played the undefeated Austin Gamblers in their final game from the Show Me State. The Rattlers, however, fell short of the win by a mere 2 points, as the Gamblers earned the victory 173.25-171.25.
When the dust settled the Rattlers’ 2-1 effort led them to conclude PBR Outlaw Days sixth. In the league standings, they slipped from No. 3 to No. 5 and are now three games behind the No. 1 Austin Gamblers.

The PBR Camping World Team Series will next travel to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, for the second neutral site event of the 2023 season. The event will be on Saturday, August 12 at 6:45 p.m. PDT and Sunday, August 13, at 1:45 p.m. PDT.
During the opening night of competition in Anaheim, the Texas Rattlers, presented by Ariat, will play the Arizona Ridge Riders.
