ARIAT TEXAS RATTLERS GO 1-2 IN GAMEPLAY TO FINISH FIFTH OVERALL AT PBR CAMPING WORLD TEAM SERIES EVENT IN GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA

GREENSBORO, N.C. – At the eighth PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series event of the season this past weekend in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Ariat Texas Rattlers went 1-2 in game play to conclude PBR Cowboy Days fifth overall.

As game play got underway inside Greensboro Coliseum, the Texas Rattlers went a near-perfect 4-for-5 to defeat the reigning Champion Nashville Stampede by 257.5 points, 342.5-85. The Rattlers’ win included scores from Brady Oleson, Brady Fielder, Braidy Randolph and Trace Redd, who logged the first 90-point ride of his Teams career, marked 91 points on Hunter.

Keen to continue their momentum, the Rattlers were on the hunt for their second consecutive win when they next took on the Kansas City Outlaws.

After a back-and-forth first frame, with Wingson Henrique da Silva delivering for the Outlaws and Joao Ricardo Vieira riding for Texas, the Rattlers led by 3.75 points entering the second. Koltin Hevalow gave the Outlaws back the lead by 75.25 points in the top of the second, and Kansas City never looked back.

With Texas shut out in the bottom of the second and neither team converting in the third or fourth, the game came down to the final round of outs. In the top of the frame, the Outlaws clinched the win early when closer Cassio Dias delivered a mammoth 90.5-point ride, his league-best fourth 90-point ride of the season, putting the Outlaws two bulls ahead with Texas having just one out left. Texas bucked off in the final out of the game, unable to prevent a two-ride score loss.

Kansas City ultimately defeated the Texas Rattlers by two ride scores, 252.75-87.

Eager to conclude the weekend with a win, the Rattlers returned on Championship Sunday with a renewed mindset as they readied to take on the Missouri Thunder.

While Vieira put them on the board early, it was not enough to best a fourth-frame score from Missouri’s Andrew Alvidrez. When the dust settled, the Rattlers lost by 2.5 points, 85.75-88.25.

The 1-2 record led Texas to conclude PBR Cowboy Days fifth overall. Now 11-11 this season, they slipped from No. 2 to No. 3 in the league. Texas now trails the No. 1 Gamblers by six games.
