NASHVILLE, TN (October 29, 2021) – When Tiera was a young girl growing up in Birmingham, Alabama she saw how music made her feel – and she wanted to capture that essence in a way that passed the joy forward, reached a little deeper into the feel good as well as the serious stuff.
Cited by Nashville Scene as “the total package,” the alt-weekly sees Tiera as “representing a writer who has learned how to write for their own voice at a young age.” American Songwriter concurs, haling “one of Nashville’s most promising young singer/songwriters” and Teen Vogue raving about her “pure, catchy upbeat country story-telling.” Signed as the flagship artist to Nicolle Galyon’s groundbreaking Songs & Daughters Publishing, Tiera steps into the major label realm with the effervescent “Gentleman,” written as a wedding gift for her husband Kamren Kennedy. The song is available today via The Valory Music Co. – listen here.
“I wrote ‘Gentleman’ for my now husband Kamren two years ago and even then I knew I’d want to release it after we got married,” shares Tiera. “The song is a saucy take on a Country love song with an R&B flair, and it’s fun to be able to release it as a newlywed.”
With her honey on sunshine voice, she lists all of her fiancée’s gentlemanly attributes, the respect and kindnesses that define him before descending into the chorus as a woman in love with her man, surrendering and celebrating the chemistry that they share. In a world where people talk around it, Tiera has found a way to elevate love and being in love with the lifeforce of being young. Working with her collaborator Cameron Bedell, the pair have found a blend that is distinctly Tiera, yet ultimately encompasses anyone engaged in living their life with love and happiness.
PEOPLE featured the newlyweds earlier this month when they tied the knot with an intimate ceremony in Nashville surrounded by close family and friends following seven years of dating. Hollywood Life declares, “with her signature blend of R&B and country, this dynamic voice delivers a romantic country ballad with a bit of spice – and plenty of heart.” Watch the lyric video directed by her husband Kamren here: https://Tiera.lnk.to/Gentleman_LyricPR.
Already named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country and Spotify’s inaugural Hot Country Artists To Watch, the host of Apple Country’s “The Tiera Show” has been putting her stamp on Country music through her own independent self-titled EP released earlier this year. With a brand of Country that merges Dolly Parton’s sense of detail and Rascal Flatts’ blend of empowering moments and sweeping melodies, she’s injecting Country music with a breath of vitality, as well as an innocence that’s capable of knowing when the time is right. The buzzed-about-talent is currently featured in the October issue of Nashville Lifestyles magazine as one of their Most Beautiful People, on newsstands now.
