FORT WORTH, Texas (Jan. 26, 2026) The second round of barrel racing of Bracket 2 at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) ProRodeo Tournament was nearly a repeat of round one.

On Sunday afternoon Hayle Gibson-Stilwell was at the top of the leaderboard. She repeated on Monday night with a blazing-fast run of 16.11 seconds, even better than her previous 16.43.

The Redcrest California cowgirl made her first appearance at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) last month and was successful there on her home-raised mare, Buncha Dinero who fans know as Piper. That same six-year-old palomino has her advancing to the Semi-Finals in Fort Worth

Right behind Gibson-Stillwell is another first-time NFR qualifier, Tricia Aldridge from Sanger, Texas. Aldridge is riding her famous stallion, Adios Pantelones and they finished second in both rounds. A year ago, Aldridge set a goal of winning enough during the regular season to qualify for the winter rodeos, including Fort Worth. She did more than that, finishing the season as the reserve world champion.

Aldridge and Adios stopped the clock in 16.20 seconds in Dickies Arena Monday night. They are a dynamic duo who both love their jobs. Adios Pantelones has earned more money barrel racing than any other stallion starting with futurities, progressing through other levels and are now garnering fans with every run at a rodeo.

Third in the barrel racing was last year’s FWSSR ProRodeo Tournament champion, Andrea Busby, from Brock, Texas. Busby, who has two NFR qualifications to her credit will now be competing in the Wild Card Round hoping for another opportunity to defend her title.

Tuesday night at the rodeo was Tarleton State University night so it was very fitting that a former rodeo team member and graduate degree earner found success. Kody Lamb is from Sherwood Park, Alberta. He came to Texas to further his education in and out of the arena. That paid off with four trips to the College National Finals Rodeo and a master’s degree.

Lamb needed a big ride on Tuesday to advance and that is just what he did. He got on the horse named Smoke Show owned by Dakota Rodeo. When the judges added up their scores, Lamb had 85.5 points by his name for the win. That also earned him a spot in the Wild Card round.

In the tie-down roping four-time NFR qualifier Zack Jongblood, from Iowa, Louisiana, got the win with an 8.5-second run. Jongblood finished third in the first round, so he also earned a spot in the Semi-Finals behind Kincade Henry from Mount Pleasant, Texas who won the first round and finished second on Monday with a 9.0.

Monday night was a good night for the bucking bulls of the rodeo, but not for the riders. Even though a couple came close, no one was able to last for eight seconds against the animal athletes from Rafter G Rodeo.

Bracket 3 will showcase a new group of competitors making their appearances in Dickies Arena at the FWSSR ProRodeo Tournament beginning Tuesday night. Tuesday is also Stock Show Goes Pink Day, supporting the Careity Foundation and their fight against breast cancer.
