.NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The COJO Championship Event, presented by Tractor Supply Company, is a Super Qualifier event for The American Rodeo and proud to announce that the Breakaway Short Round Finals, followed by the COJO Team Roping Short Round, will be broadcast LIVE exclusively on The Cowboy Channel on Saturday, October 11, from 1:30 PM–4:30 PM CT (2:30 PM–5:30 PM ET). 

The highly anticipated broadcast of this event combines the heart-pounding, lightning-fast action of roping with the added thrill of seeing platinum-selling country music superstar, Cody Johnson, compete personally in the Team Roping. Rodeo goers and country music fans nationwide, can enjoy the rich tradition and fierce competition of these fan favorite events unfolding in real time.

The weeklong COJO Championship Event showcases the best roping athletes in the world and for the first time the COJO Team Roping and Ladies Breakaway divisions are officially Super Qualifiers for The American Rodeo Central Regional Finals. Contestants have the chance to secure a spot on one of rodeo’s biggest stages so fans can expect edge-of-your-seat competition where every second makes the difference between victory and defeat.

The COJO Championship Event 

The COJO Championship Event, presented by country music superstar and Texas native Cody Johnson, is an annual premier five-day celebration of Western sportsmanship, music and community. Launched in 2024, the event brings together elite team roping competitions, including newly sanctioned American Rodeo Super Contender Series Events, along with family-friendly programming, charity initiatives and live performances hosted in Belton, Texas.
