STETSON WRIGHT SCORES 90 TO WIN FIRST ROUND OF BULLS’ NIGHT OUT

Stetson Wright, the Utah rodeo superstar who earned his third bull riding world championship in December, continued to dominate the competition during the first round of Bulls’ Night Out, the PRCA Xtreme Bulls event at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR). FORT WORTH, Texas (January 20, 2026)— Reigning world champion bull rider and all-around cowboy Stetson Wright of Beaver, Utah, brought the first round of Bulls’ Night Out to a rousing finish with a 90-point ride on Championship Rodeo’s bull E. TO at the129th edition of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR).

Wright, who has 10 world championships to his credit, was the last of 40 bull riders to compete in the PRCA Xtreme Bulls event at Dickies Arena on Tuesday. Six of the previous cowboys made successful rides. Wright’s score edged three-time National Finals Rodeo (NFR) qualifier Hayes Weight, a fellow Utahan who rode Frontier Rodeo’s Century Product for 88 points. A third Utah bull rider, Tyler Bingham, finished third with 87.5 points.

“I love Fort Worth,” Wright told The Cowboy Channel’s Katy Lucas in his post-ride interview. He said he was “super happy” to draw the Pete Carr Pro Rodeo bull that was featured at the 2025 NFR.

The format for the popular bull riding event at FWSSR changed for 2026. All 40 cowboys will compete again on Wednesday night. The riders with the top 10 overall scores will ride another bull in a final round of competition to determine the winners of the bulk of the $110,000 prize money.

Round two of Bulls’ Night Out begins at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dickies Arena.
