NASHVILLE, TN – December 2, 2025 – On this Giving Tuesday, and her mother Martha’s birthday, GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM award winning singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde announces Ashley McBryde’s Light On Fund. Visit the website HERE.

Named in reference to McBryde’s “Light On In The Kitchen,” a musical tapestry inspired by and in honor of her mother and her mother’s two sisters, Ashley McBryde’s Light On Fund exists to support causes close to McBryde’s heart.

“Leaving the light on for someone is the same as telling them you love them where I’m from,”

Targeting areas including advocacy for the mental health of veterans, rehabilitation resources for the creative community, helping children in the foster care system, championing ASL interpretation at live music events, and much more, the fund will announce a new charitable focus each quarter starting 2026 and onward.

“Leaving the light on for someone is the same as telling them you love them where I’m from,” McBryde shares. “Folks are suffering in ways we’ll never see or know about, and the same way I want someone to come to my show and know that for 90 minutes, they’ve got a safe haven, we hope the Light On Fund will be a place of support, care, and nurturing for causes that have touched my life and my history.”

“The women in my family have led by generous and humble example, living out that the most important gestures are the ones from one heart to another,” she continues. “With the establishment of the Light On Fund, I hope that we’re letting people know that we see them and we care. Wherever they may be or may end up on life’s journey, we’ll leave a light on for them.”

The inspiration for the fund stems from the kindness of McBryde’s mom, Martha, who recently auctioned off one of Ashley’s childhood dresses to give back to her local foster care system in Arkansas. Today, McBryde launches her Light On Fund by personally matching the amount of money raised from that sale.

To support the fund, fans can buy the official Ashley McBryde’s Light On Fund hat with all proceeds going directly to the initiative. Purchase your hat HERE

Ashley McBryde’s Light On Fund is run through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

ABOUT ASHLEY MCBRYDE

GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM award winning singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde “has arrived” (CBS Sunday Mornings). From back porches to biker bars across America’s Middle, to playing arenas, sheds, and stadiums around the world, the Arkansas native and Warner Records Nashville recording artist has dedicated her life to the craft of storytelling; “an artist with many things to say and a big enough voice to slice through the noise” (Rolling Stone).

The Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. Follow-up Never Will is one of the only albums ever nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACM, CMA, and the Recording Academy in the same awards season. Her collaborative project, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, earned McBryde her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, and opened up a parallel universe in homage to world-building song mastermind Dennis Linde that took the Nashville creative community by storm. Her latest, The Devil I Know, brought more critical acclaim, earning nods as one of the best country albums of the year from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Slate, PASTE, Holler and more.

In 2022, McBryde was honored with the CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the U.S. This year, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from her alma mater, Arkansas State University, for her significant contributions to the field.

Hailed as “one of Nashville’s most reliable and sophisticated songwriters” (Los Angeles Times) Dr. McBryde released road-worn fan favorite “Rattlesnake Preacher” in June to rapturous reception. She opened her non-alcoholic forward concept, Redemption Bar, at home on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s in Nashville this August, paired with her four-show Redemption Residency at Chief’s Neon Steeple this October and December. McBryde is touring nationwide now, wrapping a slate of headlining dates through the end of 2025.
